If your steps have disappeared or are not being tracked, please follow the troubleshooting steps below based on your device to ensure your steps are tracked correctly.
iOS:
1️⃣ Check app permissions
▪️ Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Motion & Fitness.
▪️ Make sure Motion & Fitness tracking is turned on and the app has permission.
2️⃣ Verify Health app connection
▪️ Open the Health app.
▪️ Go to Sources and make sure the app is listed and allowed to read step data.
3️⃣ Background app refresh
▪️ Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.
▪️ Ensure it’s enabled for the app.
4️⃣ Restart your device
▪️ Sometimes a simple restart helps re-sync the step counter.
5️⃣ Reinstall the app (if the issue persists)
▪️ Delete and reinstall the app, then log back in to refresh permissions.
Android:
1️⃣ Open your device settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → make sure Scrambly is enabled.
2️⃣ Check your Google Fit to confirm that your steps are being counted there.
3️⃣ Keep Scrambly open or running in the background while walking — this helps sync your steps.
4️⃣ If everything looks correct, restart your phone and reopen Scrambly.
